An Official MS 150 Training Ride

 

Join the members of the Cannonballs Cycling Team for the 14th annual RIDE FOR PRIDE. This supported ride is designed for all levels of cycling enthusiast - from families and recreational riders to experienced distance challengers. Each rider is free to set their own pace, and select the distance they will be proud to complete. As in previous years, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a charitable organization.   See below for a list of our fundraising activities.

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE: ANSI or SNELL approved helmets are required for all riders

 

Ride Date

Saturday June 26, 2010, rain or shine. The 100k & 50k rides begin at 8:00a.m. The Fun Run (16k) will depart after the 50k start.

 

Ride Distance

Choose either a 100k, which is approximately 62 miles, a 50k, which is approximately 31 miles, or the Fun Ride (16k).  All routes will be marked and volunteers will be stationed to guide and support you.

 

Ride Location

All riders will start and end at Bailey Middle School,  11900 Bailey Road, Cornelius, NC 28031

 

DIRECTIONS

From Charlotte; travel I-77 North to EXIT 25 (Sam Furr Rd Hwy 73) Turn RIGHT onto Sam Furr Rd. Turn LEFT onto Old Statesville Rd (Hwy 115), Turn RIGHT onto Bailey Rd, School on right.  See MAP for additional details.

 

FUNDRAISING & COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

 

·    MS 150 Ride

 

·     Bike Safety Training & Rodeos for kids.

 

 

Registration Fee

$25 per person (Online Registration, check or money order) before June 24, 2010 or $30 afterwards or day of ride. The Fun Ride is $10.

 

Registration/Check-In

Same-day registration and check-in starts at 7:00a.m.  The Cannonballs Cycling Team will help provide a positive, memorable, and enjoyable experience by catering to your ride needs. 

 

Aid Stations

Food and liquids will be available for riders to rest, refuel and recuperate.

 

Support

SAG vehicles will cruise the course to support all riders and transport weary riders back to the starting point.

 

Mechanical Support

A local bicycle shop will provide mechanical support. All riders are encouraged to bring an extra tube.
